Well the transplant went off without a hitch. No fireworks. The staff and some of the family that could make it came in and sang happy birthday gave me a balloon and a card. Quinn tried to hold his bone marrow hostage but gave it up in the end. Then I tried to drink it through the bag. This all happened on the 5th of December. I have lost count on how many times I have thrown up. Looks like they found a way to stop it but it was lots of trial and error. Have been doing a lot better the last few days. My energy has been low and my whole body doesn't feel right. I haven't wanted to eat since i have been in the hospital. Everything has a medicine taste and I get nauseous just smelling or thinking about food. But over all I have been doing fairly well. Don't know how much longer I can stand being stuck in here. Will be very excited to get out. Don't remember being stuck in one place for very long. I tried to come up with a plan today on sneaking out but chickened out last min. I know i could pull it off. Haven't lost my hair yet but they say most likely will soon. I don't match the text book cases. They say I am doing pretty good. I don't have much of an immune system left but they thought I would be at zero days ago and close but still not. They test my blood levels every morning at 4:00 am. so we can see how they are doing. Ingraftment should start about next Thursday. All in all I would love to be home and feeling better but I just need to be patient it will work out in time. One cool thing is that i get to be with my super wife and get to do some video chatting with the kids, which is nice but not the same.
